THE ART OF RECYCLING:Paint Our Cans

Want to win two reserve tickets to every show we have at USANA Amphitheatre during the 2011 Summer Concert Series while giving back to the environment? Now is your chance.

All you have to do is design one of our recycle bins and if yours is the one chosen then you will win reserved tickets to every concert in the 2011 Summer Concerts Series at USANA Amphitheatre.

If you’re an artist, an avid music fan, an individual who cares about the environment, a company involved in green initiatives/corporate sustainability, or an individual who can design a recycle bin like no other, then Paint Our Cans at USANA is calling on you. Artists, individuals and companies from around the state will have the opportunity through out the summer to pick up one of our recycle bins. After receiving the bin, you the artist/individual/company will have until Thursday, Aug. 12, at 4:59 p.m. to design the bin however you want (some restrictions apply). The bins will then be displayed and judged. Bins can be turned in through out the summer. The bins turned in before Thursday, Aug. 12, will be set up at USANA and guests will have the opportunity to vote on what bin they like the most. On Friday, Aug. 13, the bin with the most votes will be announced and the winner will receive two reserved tickets to every show at USANA during the 2011 Summer Concert Series. In 2009 USANA Amphitheatre was awarded “The Greenest Show In Utah,” by Rocky Mountain Recycling for its green sustainability initiatives and for recycling over 10 tons of recyclable material during the 2009 concert series. According to Rocky Mountain Recycling, USANA Amphitheatre green initiative efforts amounted to saving 70,070 gallons of water, 2,193 gallons of gas, 170 mature trees, 40,040 kilowatts of energy, 600.6 lbs. less air pollution, 3,804 gallons of oil, and 30 cubic yards of landfill airspace. *USANA CARPOOL LOT

Save gas and time by riding together. USANA Amphitheatre has created a carpool program that will reward participating vehicles by providing prime parking and a separate entrance (no lines). Remember, not only are you reducing emissions, concerts are more fun with friends. To participate:

- Space is on a first come, first serve basis so please arrive early.

- You need 4 or more persons in one vehicle.

2009 season IS HERE! This year we are hoping that the concept of recycling is becoming familiar. Our hope is that you can remember to recycle while at the Amphitheatre and all other places you visit in your daily life. We have a very active Green Team and I want to personally thank them for all they do. Help them out and recycle the items you have night of show. It takes all of us to make a difference. If you have questions look for our Green Team (bright green vests) and feel free to ask them. As a reminder we recycle:
